Conversely, barcodes rely on optical scanning, requiring a direct line of sight between the barcode and the scanner.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\"><strong>This reading difference allows RFID tags to be read faster and from greater distances than barcodes, as they do not need to be individually scanned in a specific orientation. <\/strong>This ability can happen thanks to the chip embedded in the RFID tags.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">Therefore, if a company employ an RFID system, the process can be faster as workers do not need to scan the products individually. This will speed up the operation process as the RFID reader can read tens to hundreds of tags simultaneously. The ability to update information on RFID tags in real-time enables continuous tracking of goods, providing valuable insights into inventory levels, location, and condition.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember58\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\"><strong>RFID technology offers a higher level of security than barcodes.
