Cantilever Racking

Flexible storage solution for long, heavy, or irregularly shaped items

Cantilever racking is a storage system specifically designed to store long, bulky, or irregularly shaped loads that cannot be efficiently stored on conventional pallet racking.

With open-front access and horizontal arms extending from vertical columns, cantilever racking allows easy loading, unloading, and handling of items such as pipes, beams, timber, profiles, and sheet materials—making it ideal for industrial and construction-related storage needs.

Why Cantilever Racking is Suitable for You

01
Designed for Long and Irregular Loads

Ideal for storing items that do not fit standard pallets, such as pipes, steel profiles, timber, and panels.

02
Open Access for Easy Handling

The open-front design allows forklifts, cranes, or manual handling equipment to load and retrieve items without obstruction.

03
Flexible and Adjustable Configuration

Arms can be adjusted vertically and configured in single- or double-sided layouts to suit different load sizes and storage requirements.

04
Strong and Heavy-Duty Structure

Engineered to support heavy loads safely, with options for different arm lengths and load capacities.

How Does Cantilever Racking Work?

Cantilever racking consists of vertical columns with horizontal arms that extend outward to support stored loads.

Items are placed directly onto the arms, either manually or using forklifts, side loaders, or overhead cranes. The spacing between arms, arm length, and rack height are designed based on load dimensions, weight, and handling method.

Because there are no front columns blocking access, cantilever racking allows efficient handling of long materials while maintaining clear visibility and organized storage.

System Structure

Cantilever racking systems are made up of the following main components:

  • Columns – vertical uprights supporting the structure
  • Arms – horizontal load-bearing supports
  • Base and bracing – providing overall stability

Optional accessories and safety features include:

  • Arm end stops to prevent load roll-off
  • Decking or support bars for smaller items
  • Column protectors and impact guards
  • Roof structures for outdoor installations
  • Load signage and safety labels

These components ensure safe operation and adaptability for different load types.
